Encore Tours' Familiarization Trip (or a FAM Trip) is a fantastic opportunity for music directors to travel internationally and see first-hand the high-quality and personalized product that Encore creates for our music directors and their ensembles.
June 5 - 11, 2019, Encore will be taking a group of choral and instrumental directors on a FAM Trip to Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic to explore the culture, food, and numerous fantastic venues that would welcome your ensemble. Two Encore Tours team members will guide you and your fellow music directors across Eastern Europe and share with you what your ensemble would experience on a performance tour in these fantastic destinations.
The travel package includes:
- Round-trip airfare
- 5 nights lodging in single rooms in centrally located 4-star hotels
- All meals and transportation
- Local sightseeing
- Visits to 15+ concert venues
- And a professional Tour Manager throughout!
The cost of this trip is just $1,500! This $1,500 will be credited back to you if you travel with Encore to an international destination in 2020 or 2021 with your ensemble.
All participants must register and pay in full by March 15, 2019.*
Highlights of the FAM trip include:
- A folklore show with dancing and live music in Budapest
- A dinner cruise on the Vltava River in Prague
- Attending an Encore Tours performance
- And visits to magnificent churches and other venues such the Slovak Radio Hall, Martinu Hall, and Rudolfinum

Conditions & Additional Information
- The FAM Trip is solely for music directors who have never traveled with Encore Tours before.
- Non-music director companions can attend the FAM Trip for the full trip cost of $3,300.
- Price is based on flights from New York; a supplemental fee may be incurred if departing from smaller gateways.
- There is an option to extend your trip and will be happy to book your return flight on a later date at no additional charge if from the same gateway or at a cost if from a different gateway.
- * Trip may be canceled if there are less than 5 passengers. In such an event, all payments would be refunded.
