Encore Tours

Overview:

Encore Tours is excited to continue our series of free virtual events -- Encore Live -- to keep you connected with international cultures at a time of restricted travel.

In this week's event, our own Peter Ede will trace the bizarre story of what happened to composer Joseph Haydn’s head after it was removed from his body and stolen by gravediggers. Spoiler alert: they were finally reunited 145 years later! With the accompaniment of Haydn’s music and with beautiful visuals of Vienna and Eisenstadt, we will examine this unusual and intriguing story.

Our Encore Live series is open to any interested educator, director, or music enthusiast, so please register today to save your spot. We hope to see you there!
