The Normandy Music Festival welcomes bands, choirs and orchestras of all ages in 2017! The festival takes place in beautiful Normandy and follows a clinic/concert format. Ensembles will participate in a clinic with one of the four reputed clinicians and in the evening will perform in a joint concert with other festival participants. While the festival is non-competitive, an audition recording is required to participate in the festival-sponsored performances.
About the Clinic:
Each performing group will have a thirty-minute warm up slot, a thirty minute performing slot for instrumental groups (twenty minutes for choral groups), followed by a thirty-minute clinic/workshop by a clinician. The master class format of the clinics is not just a source of motivation and enlightenment for the performers; it is of great benefit to the directors because it provides the insight and procedures to elevate the group's performance to a higher level.
